Wynspira pairs a location-specific forecast with an animated fractal. The animation is an artistic interpretation of weather inputs, not a radar image or a prediction of lightning strikes. Use the forecast numbers for planning; use the visual to explore how conditions change.
Where the readings come from
Global forecasts use Open-Meteo weather-model data. Supported U.S. locations also use National Weather Service forecasts and alerts. Model readings can differ from the weather at your exact street or elevation. The global extremes panel compares a fixed selection of capitals and Antarctic stations, not every point on Earth, and shares a snapshot refreshed on demand after 30 minutes.
